about
Hello! I’m Ellis, and I’m a singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and whatever else my silly little projects happen to require at any given moment.
I create indie-pop music with folksy charm. I’m influenced by the CDs I grew up listening to in my mom’s car, like The Chicks, James Taylor, and Peter, Paul & Mary. I draw inspiration from a variety of artists and genres, blending YouTube-reminiscent twee bedroom pop and coffeehouse journalistic lyrics with timeless melodies.
I've considered myself a musician for as long as I can remember. I started learning how to record original songs in high school, and have been devoted to sharing my music online for several years now.
In May 2024, I released my second album, “Adjacent to Alright.” This album dives into themes of loss: loss of youth and innocence, loss of mental stability, loss of loved ones, loss of the concept of self. It’s also an album about standing up tall, putting on a big smile, and faking it till you make it. Admittedly, it’s quite a sad album, but my goal with this music is to bring peace or comfort where it might not have been before. Writing helps me understand and process the world around me, and it warms my heart to share it with the world and know that I'm not alone.
More than anything, I aspire to be a storyteller. I want to be seen. I want you to be seen too. Please feel free to reach out about anything and everything!
Sending all my love,
